Malta Open April 23


Our Wales Karate Squad have just returned from the Malta Open. The club are proud to have finished 4th overall in the medals table finishing with 13 x Gold, 7 x Silver and 14 x Bronze. This was achieved with a small squad of 23 competitors against 28 countries and 63 different federations in total.



The standard of competition was very high and the whole squad acquitted themselves as we have come to expect and we look forward to returning to Malta for next years event.




WUMF 1st World Championships



The squad will now turn its preparations to the WUMF World Championships being held in Crawley 21st - 23rd July at the K2 Arena. This is an opportunity to attend a world championship event in the UK and Sensei Andrew will be picking the squad in the coming weeks.




Karate Licences


Licences for the majority of students are due to expire on 22nd April and it is important that these are renewed in a timely fashion to ensure students can continue to train and be covered from an insurance perspective. Students/Parents/Guardians are kindly requested to submit licences in an envelope with the £35 payment by no later than 12th April.


Sponsorship Opportunities


The club is currently looking for sponsorship to help continue developing champions. We currently have 19 World Champions, European Champions, British Champions and Welsh Champions within our squad.


In Return for sponsorship you will receive the following:


  • Your Company Name/Logo on the Wales National Tracksuits

  • Your Company Name/Logo will be advertised on our website and social media channels

  • You will be invited to the club for photos to showcase your sponsorship

  • Invites to all competitions

  • Invite to club end of year awards night

Seminar with Sensei Katsu Tiru Jr

The club are proud to present a not to be missed seminar with Sensei Katsu Tiru Jr. This promises to be something different from our previous seminars and will be held at the Dojo on 30th April. This is open to all regardless of style and affiliation and at a cost of £20.
